KL Autumn 2021 Newsletter

Welcome to our autumn newsletter!

After a busy start to the year, KLMSA production momentum has certainly maintained pace through the first Quarter of 2021.

We have been represented at three official openings of buildings completed earlier in the year or late 2020… and attended a recent sod-turning event to announce a new building commencement!

This project was completed in mid-January this year with the Official Opening conducted in March, attended by KLMSA General Manager, Ross Jacob.

Both Mitchell Shire Council and KLMSA were thrilled with the successful outcome of the new Early Learning Centre which will service families in the rapidly expanding Newbridge South Residential Housing Estate in Wallan East, 55km north of Melbourne.

The facility comprises 3x kindergarten rooms each to accommodate 33 children, 2x maternal child health rooms, spacious foyer area, administration offices and kitchen/sanitary amenities.

The College Junior School Learning Facility was completed prior to the commencement of Term 1, 2021 with the Official Opening taking place on April 22nd.

KLMSA was represented on this occasion by Sue Rolland, Executive Director and Mark Delzoppo, Preconstruction Manager.

Located on an extensive site of almost 35 acres, with a growing student population, the 25-module facility (with 8 crane-on roof sections) comprised five learning spaces, entry foyer with reception, clinic, staffroom, resource/store-room, two deck areas and amenities, all incorporated into an irregular building footprint.

A welcome addition to a rapidly growing school campus.

Ardeer Primary School Sod-turning Event

The event incorporated the two Ardeer Primary School Captains with shovel in hands for the first sod to be turned and (back left to right):  Sam David, Councillor, Brimbank City Council; Natalie Suleyman, State Member for St Albans; Sue Rolland, Executive Director, KLMSA; Ingrid Stitt, Minister for Workplace Safety and Minister for Early Childhood; John Mifsud, Acting School Principal and Mark Delzoppo, Pre-Construction Manager, KLMSA.

KLMSA won the contract to construct and install a new modular Early Learning Centre at Ardeer Primary School.

The ‘ceremonial sod-turning’ event on 26 March was attended by both local and federal politicians, a local government representative and two KLMSA representatives to celebrate the commencement of site works for this project.

KLMSA has undertaken several similar projects in the past, where joint collaboration between local City Councils and Government has enabled the provision of new, permanent, contemporary ELC facilities on Primary School sites.

This kindergarten facility will provide spaces for 66 children which will both ease the transition into primary education and avoid a potential double drop-off for parents!

The facility will be ready for use in 2022.

The following projects are currently being undertaken, all at varying stages of progress:
